Have you visited our new website?

That’s right! We have a newly redesigned website! The University Libraries have been working on a new site for well over a year, and as part of that change Special Collections and the University Archives get a whole new design. We think it looks pretty snazzy!

Here’s how to get to our homepage:

Visit www.lib.umd.edu – the University Libraries homepage. Hover over “Collections” and choose “Special Collections.”

This will take you to the Special Collections homepage (www.lib.umd.edu/special). Click on “Collection Strengths” in the left-hand navigation bar, then select “University of Maryland.”

This will take you to our new homepage. You can also bookmark www.lib.umd.edu/special/collections/university/home for a direct link!

Once you get to our homepage, make sure to check out all of the features. The homepage has a short description of the archives, as well as links to more information, subject guides, digitized materials, finding aids, and lots of links to sites about University of Maryland history. Our social media sites are featured at the top of the right-hand bar, below which are our featured exhibits and materials.

Feel free to click around to your heart’s content! We’d love to hear your feedback – leave a note in the comments below, or contact the University Archivist, Anne Turkos.

Make sure to explore the University Libraries pages and the Special Collections pages as well. We all put a lot of hard work into this new site, and we hope you like it!
